Olle Trail 8 & Nonjitmul
Nonjitmul Along Olle Trail 8
올레길 8코스에서 만난 논짓물
Walking along the coast, then pausing at Nonjitmul.

Olle Trail 8 follows the southern coast of Jeju, connecting Wolpyeong with Daepyeong.
This record does not try to show the entire route at once. It stays with the places I photographed directly: Nonjitmul and Hayejinhwang Lighthouse.
Nonjitmul feels less like a place to look at from a distance and more like somewhere people actually enter the water and spend time.
In summer, families and other swimmers gather inside the low stone boundary, with the open sea moving just beyond it.
01
A Pause at Nonjitmul
When the trail reaches Nonjitmul, people are spending time in the water directly beside the sea.
A low stone boundary separates the calmer pool-like surface from the waves outside, while keeping both in the same view.

02
Summer at Nonjitmul
In summer, Nonjitmul is difficult to describe as a quiet natural pool.
Swimmers and families gather below the village, with the ridgeline toward Hallasan stretching behind them.
The people in these photographs are not identified individually; they are part of the ordinary summer scene observed that day.

03
Cold Water Beside the Sea
At Nonjitmul, fresh spring water flows toward the coast and meets the sea.
The water sits almost directly beside the ocean, yet the surface inside moves differently from the waves beyond it.

04
Back on the Trail
After pausing at Nonjitmul, the route continues along Jeju’s southern coast.
Until I return with new original photographs of the main trail, this section keeps the walking sequence in text rather than filling it with substitute images.
05
Hayejinhwang Lighthouse Along the Way
Follow the trail and Hayejinhwang Lighthouse appears close to the sea.
It feels less like a destination to visit on its own and more like a small landmark encountered while walking.
The Jeju sea begins immediately behind the white tower, making it a good place to pause. The plaque on the lighthouse records its first lighting date as August 1, 1993.

06
Yakcheonsa and the Trail Ahead
Beyond the lighthouse, the route continues between the coast and villages toward Daepyeong.
For Yakcheonsa and the later sections of the trail, this version keeps the sequence in text until new original photographs are ready.
